Description
Enjoy a day of great cycling through quiet roads in and around the Blackwater State Park.
The ride starts on the Blackwater Heritage Trail, a rails to trails project awarded best of Florida.
Distances are 42, 62 and 102 miles. Well stocked rest stops, fantastic volunteers and beautiful scenery all
combine for a memorable event! Registration includes pre and post ride food will be provided,
event T-shirt, limited sag support, fully stocked rest stops, well marked and signed roads and maps
Proceeds
Annual event to raise funds to be donated to a charitable or public service organization. All funds received in excess of the direct costs will be donated. Our focus this year will be Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Heritage Trail CSO. The event is held in memory of two deceased club members; Dr. Charles F. McConnell, Medical Examiner for the Northwest District of FL, and Mr. Matt Wantz Bicycle Shop Manager.

West Florida Wheelmen Bicycle Club
Organizer Information: Organized in 1992 the club membership now stands at 100 members.
The membership is from Escambia Co. Fl, Baldwin and Mobile Co. AL. Currently approximately
half the membership is from Baldwin and Mobile County. The club is a non-profit organization
and is affiliated nationally with the League of American Bicyclists. Members range in age from
14 to 71, with most having 8 years or more of cycling experience. The club is governed by an elected
board of officers, holds regular business meetings and maintains a permanent address and bank account
